First Showing TV-commercial e-Matching

Saturday January 19th boasts the first showing of dating-site e-Matching’s new TV-commercial on channels Nederland 1, 2 and 3. E-Matching came up with the concept and chose Four Corners to produce its commercial.

So, if you’ve barely survived the Christmas holiday season on your own and you’ve decided that 2008 should be struggled through with a nice partner, e-Matching.nl might be just your thing. e-Matching is a dating-site, aimed primarily at the professionally educated. Many higher vocationally educated find the love of their lives through e-Matching.nl.

TV
After a number of highly successful radio-campaigns, the site now chances a transfer to TV-commercials. The aim of the commercial is to generate a higher brand and name-awareness amongst graduates from a higher vocational education, and to up the number of subscriptions through the site.

Hoodwinked
In its TV-commercial, e-Matching chooses the element of surprise. It hoodwinks the viewer by initially ‘warning’ him against a shocking message and showing some sweet pictures, next. The image shows e-Matching’s company-shirts, one man’s and one lady’s, fluttering in the wind. The commercial lasts 15 seconds, and is followed up by a 5-second tag-on, which shortly repeats the commercial’s main message. e-Matching is the Netherlands’ oldest online dating site and has been in existence since 1998.
