Pimp your instruction video!
3 Tips
You are about to have an instruction DVD produced, but you’re somewhat afraid it might turn out to be one of those standard-boring films. No worries! Below, we give you 3 tips to pimp your instructional video and to be just a little bit completely different from your competition.
Tip 1 – Make some beautiful images
Get some beautiful footage of the process that is being explained. This will spice up the video, and make it more attractive and thereby, more interesting to the viewer. Use many close-ups and elegant camera-movements.
Tip 2 – Use additional resources
Use some auxiliary materials to brighten up your images, like a JIB (mini crane), a dolly (rails track) or a dolly on regular wheels.
Tip 3 – Play around with text, pointers & arrows in the picture. Bring some extra force into your instructions by showing keywords on-screen. Be creative in this process. This way, your explanations will linger, and it will make your video stauncher.
